Using a formula, it strongly weighs the deals that people are interested in right now in calculating what becomes popular. We are experimenting with different price comparison engines for lowest price. Online Reviews December 24 Instant Online Reviews where available. Last 24 hours/Last Week December 21 Current "Hottest Deals" feature allows you to view the hottest deals of the last 24 hours or the last week, letting you see which deals are making it big. Max Recent Deals December 12 Boddit pushes out new deals really fast. We upgraded the homepage to let you see the last 100(!) deals. Now all deals Let Users Choose Display Setting for Main page December 8 Change between just first 10 (with slide effect) or all deals at once. //Edited: Deals are moving too fast on the homepage, raised it to 30 on homepage. More is Better. Updated Categories December 7 Added clothing category and boxed DVD sets Rating System for Deals December 4 Because of popular demand, the Boddit team has created a rating system for deals. You can vote a deal up Upon voting, the popularity score will change depending on your vote. This is not the only way popularity scores can change but it is an important one. Our hope is that this will generate a list of deals that the community likes and feels that fellow bodditors should purchase. Please send us as much feedback as you can to make Boddit better. *Bug on morning of 12/05/06 should be gone. Boddit Deal Reminders December 3 In searching Boddit, if there are no results, users can opt to enter their email address for deal reminders. One-Day Deals December 1 On the main page, there is a tab for just deals that are only available today. This is useful for people who do not want to miss short-term deals. Search Clustering December 1 In searching Boddit, on the left side, there are "related searches" which shows the number of results for different clusters of your search term. Highlighted in red are nonzero results. Also, improved search algorithm. RSS November 29 Boddit offers two RSS feeds for the latest deals, one for standard RSS viewers and other for specialized HTML RSS viewers. Report November 21 Under each deal, there is a report button that sends a request to Boddit that there is a problem with a deal. Using AJAX, page does not have to reload. Latest Deals November 18 Main page shows the latest deals in Boddit. Descriptions Tab November 15 Right under each deal, there is a button called "show description" which gives a brief description of the deal itself. Share-it November 12 Right under each deal, there is a button called "share-it" giving users instant ability to share a deal with friends. |
